Judith Glenn, CPA
Partner

Judy started her accounting career at a national CPA firm in the Bay Area; after devouring everything she could about the accounting profession, she returned to her native Sonoma County to build her accounting practice.

Judy has a BA in management (and one in music!) and a MS in taxation from Golden Gate University. She practices in the areas of individual and small business tax consulting and compliance, small business accounting and reporting, and accounting and tax reporting for non-profits.

Judy lives in Santa Rosa with her husband Thom. She swims and runs, plays the piano, and spends every minute she can find in the garden. She is firmly rooted here, and expresses her passion for our local history and culture by serving on the Board of Trustees of the Sonoma County Museum.

Jo Ann Guattery, CPA
Partner

Jo Ann graduated from Cornell University, then moved to California and completed the accounting program at Sonoma State University. She received a MS in Taxation from Golden Gate University. After several years with Moss Adams LLP, she went into practice on her own in 1985, merging that practice into Glenn, Guattery, Gunn & McAravy in 1998. In 2008, she opened a Glenn, Guattery, Gunn & McAravy office in Salida, Colorado. She splits her time between California and Colorado.

Jo Ann’s specialty is small business financial and tax planning, believing that “prospective planning” is more successful than “reactive planning”. She has a strong background in medical practices, wineries, and retail grocery.

Jo Ann likes to run, hike, camp and backpack with her husband Pierre and their three dogs.

Alice Gunn, CPA
Partner

Alice graduated from UC Berkeley with a BA in English. While living in England, publishing and distributing music magazines, she discovered the true importance of accounting. This led her to study accounting in the MS program at Cal State Northridge and to become a CPA in 1979, after which she went to work for a large entertainment CPA firm where she specialized in business management of entertainers and taxation of wealthy individuals including estates, trusts and non- profits. Alice moved to Sonoma County in 1990 and began building her own practice. Soon a strong collaboration with Judy, Joann and Nancy grew into Glenn, Guattery, Gunn and McAravy. Alice is expert in tax planning for individuals, estates, trusts and non-profits. She prepares fiduciary and court accountings. She also works with many types of small businesses, especially professionals. She is a member of the Redwood Empire Estate Planning Council and past CPA representative on the Board.

In her spare time, Alice sings in two community choirs, belongs to two book groups, and is a news junkie and avid traveler. She has two grown sons and a granddaughter on whom she dotes.
